Itinerary for Day trip to Morocco Chefchaouen

  • 8:00 a.m. Presentation at the port of Tarifa and collection of boarding passes from FRS Company.
  • 9:00 a.m. Departure of the fast ferry to Tangier. First of all, we remind you to fill out the entry form for the country and have your passport stamped during the crossing on the boat. Please ask the boat staff for the police booth.
  • Upon arrival at the port of Tangier, we will be greeted by  the driver who will meet us at the taxi stand in the port.
  • 09:30 a.m. (local time) Departure to Chefchaouen, a mysterious town founded as a secret location from which to attack the Portuguese settled on the northern coast of the country. The entry to the town was completely forbidden for Europeans until the arrival of Spanish troops in 1920. It is located within a biosphere reserve.
  • 11:30h. Time to explore the blue city at your own pace. As Chefchaouen is a small and peaceful town, you can visit it without a guide, wander aimlessly through its alleyways, admire its colors, visit its craft shops, smell its spices, or sit down for a tea or freshly squeezed orange juice. In addition, you can enjoy the wonderful Jebli cuisine offered by the numerous restaurants in the city.

  • 17:00h.  Departure for the port of Tangier. From the same point where the transport dropped you off upon arrival.
  • 20:00h.  Arrival at the port of Tangier.
  • Border formalities and boarding to Tarifa.
  • 20:00h. Departure of the fast ferry to Tarifa.

Notes

It is mandatory to bring your passport with the expiry date of  at least 6 months!

On the crossing of the boat to the outward direction, when you enter the boat you must look for the police counter where the passports are stamped with the entrance to Morocco. It is very important that you seal your passport during the crossing because if it is not sealed they will not let you leave the fast ferry.
