Capital of the Kingdom of Morocco since 1912, it is an elegant and quiet city that contrasts with its exciting past. Founded in the tenth century as ribat (fortified monastery) was the capital of Yacoub AlMansur in the twelfth century and Sidi Mohammed Ben Abdallah in the seventeenth century.

VISIT THE MEDINA

It is located between the Regreg Bou estuary and the Atlantic Ocean. The wall of the Andalusíes or Moriscos (built by these in the seventeenth century), to the south, separates it from the center of the city. To the west, beautiful with the wall erected by the Almohads in the 12th century.

VISIT THE ZOCOS

THE KASBAH DES OUDAIAS

El recinto de la kasbah es de la época almohade, excepto la parte que rodea el Jardín Andaluz. Destaca la Puerta de los Oudaias, construida en piedra tallada ocre-rojiza y atribuida a Yacub elMansour, que está considerada una de las joyas del arte almohade. Dentro de la kasbah merecen también mencionarse el Cementerio el Alou , la calle Jamaa (donde se encuentra la mezquita más antigua de Rabat, del s XII), la Torre de los Piratas y el Jardín Andaluz .Visitando la kasbah es indispensable detenerse en el Café Moro a saborear un té a la menta y deliciosos "cuernos de gacela". TOWER HASSSAN

MAUSOLEO OF MOHAMED V

NECROPOLIS OF CHELLAH

Of Merino origin, in its enclosure is the necropolis and also the ancient Roman city of Sala, with abundant remains of buildings.
