In the background, among the murmur of the waves, one can hear the sound of the muezzin calling to prayer, and that is when we know that we have reached our destination, Morocco: the country of the senses.
  • When we arrive at the port of Tangier, we will meet our Moroccan guide, who will tell us where we can change euros to dirhams in the port banks. Afterwards we will continue our route towards Chefchaouen, located in the only intercontinental natural park, which has also bee declared a biosphere nature reserve. Chefchaouen is a village hanging on the mountain, white and blue, of wise, friendly and respectful people, and offers the visitor breathtaking urban panoramas, beautiful displays of local craftsmanship, and a peace and serenity that today is difficult to find.
  • Guided visit of the city with local guide
  • We will continue our journey to Fez, the first of the Imperial Cities, which was founded in the 9th century by Idris II.  Fez hosts the oldest Medina in Morocco and one of the largest in the entire Maghreb, declared a World Heritage Site by Unesco in 1981. The city is divided into three distinct areas, and preserves traditions that are often lost in the Western world, such as handcrafted tanners works, a work that has been done in the same way for centuries.
  • Actually, Fez is three cities in one. The new city, founded by the French in 1920 and without any interest to the visitor, Fez el Bali and Fez el Jedid or Fez la Nueva, are extensions of the previous metropolis, made under the Benimerines dynasty in the thirteenth century. The medieval labyrinth with more than 9,400 streets that makes up Fez the Bali which is one of the most attractive parts of Fez. The different professional guilds that coexist there are distributed in different neighborhoods according to the specialty they practice, there is the neighborhood of the artisans, that of potters, forgers, tailors... Getting lost in the souk of Fez becomes a pleasure for the senses if you get carried away by instinct and smell. The streets, sinuous and very narrow, and the houses, very high, allow a few rays of sun to pass creating light patterns as well as enigmatic and mysterious shadows; something that increases the feeling of being in a different world.
