Afterward, we will also visit the Ben Youssef Madrasa, a Quranic school of Marinid origin from the mid-14th century, and the Marrakech Museum, located in the palace of a sultan's minister in the late 19th century. We will also stop to see La Qubba almoravid, a small temple built by the Almoravid dynasty in the 12th century. It stands out for its impressive decoration and for being one of the few examples of Almoravid architecture in the city. It is a historical treasure that allows visitors to immerse themselves in the cultural and architectural richness of this ancient dynasty (entrance fees to monuments not included).
  • 1:00 PM Lunch at the hotel.
  • Afterwards, we will continue the guided tour of Marrakech. We begin with an exterior visit to the Koutoubia, the twin tower sister of Seville's Giralda. We will visit the Menara Gardens, which have a large 30,000-square-meter pond built during the Almohad period, who designed an underground system of channels to harness meltwater from the Atlas Mountains for irrigation. This system is still in use after almost 9 centuries of history. We will also visit the Bahia Palace, dedicated by the vizier to one of his favorites in the late 19th century.
  • We will finish the day at Jmaa el Fna Square, which at these hours of the day becomes the greatest show in the world. From the afternoon onwards, the most unusual characters take over the space: storytellers, snake charmers, fortune tellers and witches, dentists with displays of their trophies, women tattooing with henna, fakirs, acrobats, musicians, boxers, artists, healers, etc.
  • Orange juice vendors take advantage of the abundance of this fruit in the region to do business, while others wear the typical attire of the old water sellers, although they often don't have a drop and only try to charge for a photo with tourists. It truly is an amazing place.
  • For those who want transportation, it will return to the hotel at 8:00 PM, by prior agreement of the group with the guide. Those who do not wish to return to the hotel can stay in the square and return on their own.
  • Dinner is free in Marrakech.
  • However, we recommend, as an option, the dinner at the renowned show at 8:00 PM Dinner in Marrakech. at the Dar Essalam restaurant, which is well worth it for its exquisite Moroccan food, for admiring the old palace where it is located, and for being where Alfred Hitchcock filmed the dinner scene from "The Man Who Knew Too Much" with James Stewart and Doris Day. We will visit a magnificent fortress that has served as a backdrop for renowned movies such as "Lawrence of Arabia," "Gladiator," and "The Jewel of the Nile." It consists of several buildings, and the ocher of the adobe seems to blend with the dry land over which a great torrent once flowed and has now become farmland.
  • After visiting this iconic place, we will continue to Ouarzazate, a former French garrison located in the southern region of the country, rich in agriculture and famous for its date palms, roses growing along its banks, and henna.
