The new city, founded by the French in 1920 and withoutany interest to the visitor, Fez el Bali and Fez el jedid or Fez la Nueva, and extension of the previous metropolis, made under the Nenimerines dynasty in the 13th century. It is beyond a doubt that the medeival labyrinth with more than 9,400 streets that makes up Fex the Bali that makes up the most attractive area of Fez. The different professional guilds that coexist there are distributed in different neighborhoods of the artisans, that of the potters, forgers, tailors, etc... Getting lost in the souk of Fez becomes a pleasure for the senses if you get carried away by instinct and smell. The streets, sinuous and very narrow, and the houses, very high, allow a few rays of sun to pass, forming some sets of lights and enigmatic and mysterious shadows; something that increases the feeling of being in another world.
